Multiple Sclerosis & Parkinsons

Multiple Sclerosis & Parkinsons Canterbury Charitable Trust provides services and support for those with or affected by MS or Parkinson’s, which are life-long chronic neurological conditions.

Guided by the whakatoki  -  Me mahi tahi tātou mo te oranga o te katoa, we must work together for the wellbeing of all - our Team provides free assessments and support for people with Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s, and their carers and whanau.

Our services empower and promote self-management and well-being:

  • Activation and Exercise Programs – Both gym facilitated and group exercise to keep active and maintain wellness.

  • Health services - to provide professional 1 to 1 consultations, support, and appropriate referrals to other services.

  • Social Connectedness - through support groups and activities to connect people, aiming to reduce isolation.

  • Education and workshops - to empower people with information through education.

We advise our clients to discuss symptoms with their GP first, but if you do have any questions please call and talk to our Health and Wellbeing Team on 03 366 2857.
